Counterbalance training on the truck your team actually uses

Training on your own forklift, in your own working environment, means operators learn your racking, your loads, your ramps and your pedestrian routes rather than a training yard's.

Course fees depend on candidate numbers and site travel. Get in touch for a tailored quote.

Less downtime, more relevant training

Trains where your trucks work

No fixed training centre and no time lost travelling. Training is planned around your shifts, deliveries and busy periods.

Site risk-assessed first

A site-specific risk assessment is completed before training starts, and the truck is checked jointly with your team before candidates get on it.

One instructor, direct contact

You deal with Stuart Abbott from first enquiry to certificate. No call centre, no account managers, no handover.

Common questions

Do we need to provide the forklift?

Yes. Training is carried out on your own counterbalance truck at your own site, whether it's diesel, LPG or electric. A joint pre-use check is done with your team before any candidate gets on it.

Is forklift training a legal requirement?

Employers must make sure lift truck operators are adequately trained before they operate a truck. HSE's Approved Code of Practice L117 sets out what that training should cover, including basic training, specific job training and familiarisation. Every course I deliver follows it.

Can operators with different experience levels train on the same visit?

Usually, yes. Novice, experienced worker and conversion candidates can often be planned into the same visit. Tell me the mix when you enquire and I'll confirm how it affects course length.

Do you also train on telehandlers?

Yes. If your team uses telehandlers as well, see telehandler training. Both can often be covered in one booking.

How do we book?

Use the contact form or call 07807 395913 with your site details, the number of candidates and a few dates that work.
